MOVEMENT
THE ARGONITE 705 IS A FORCE
The high-accuracy quartz movement — hand-assembled in Detroit with 43 components — drives the hours, minutes, seconds and date function with precision. It is built in Detroit with Swiss and imported parts.

CASE
SOLID STEEL
The solid, polished stainless steel case features a classic pumpkin crown and sapphire crystal. Sapphire is second only to the diamond in hardness and much more durable than mineral glass when it comes to protecting the watch from scratches throughout a lifetime of wear.

DIAL
THE COLOR OF COPPER
A one-of-a-kind copper dial, applied Arabic numerals, and a remote second hand sweep make for the sort of face you don’t forget.

STRAP
NATURAL ANILINE LATIGO LEATHER
A handsome Natural Aniline Latigo Leather strap enhances the effortless look of this timepiece. Fastened with a polished stainless steel buckle, the leather will develop a patina throughout years of wear, for a look unique to you. This strap is customizable with the purchase of an additional strap.

Story:

Shinola - a luxury design brand with an unwavering commitment to crafting products that are built to last—from timepieces to leather goods, jewelry to audio. Founded in 2011, our company operates an in-house watch and leather factory on the fifth floor of the historic Argonaut Building, where a team of artisans hand assembles luxury timepieces and crafts premium leather straps. Through skilled training, we work to create opportunities for our team members and support the local workforce by partnering with legacy companies across the country to manufacture specialty items. With quality at our foundation, we celebrate thoughtful design and the beauty of industry through every product we make.
We’ve hired hundreds of people in Detroit and across the country. We’ve built factories and supplied the capital and connections for key suppliers to expand their existing operations. In order to achieve our core goals of American job creation and the rejuvenation of American manufacturing, we have to source many components from outside of the United States.
We believe our products should be thoughtfully designed and built to last. We utilize handmade production processes for our watches, bicycles, leather goods, jewelry and audio because these methods yield an unmatched level of quality. We globally source the best possible components for all our products, and work with a community of independent American manufacturers who share our commitment to using materials of an enduring nature.
